The course on building materials introduces students to the properties of materials and products used in construction engineering, standard requirements, and specific features of their use. Provides knowledge about understand the interdependence of the composition, structure, and operational properties of materials and to evaluate the processes that determine the properties of the final product. Provides of practical work with in using laboratory equipment, mastering research methods, processing the results obtained in an engineering manner, and being able to present practical conclusions when selecting suitable materials, products, or goods for building structures skills.

The course provides knowledge about the impact of engineering solutions on society and the environment, the ability to adhere to professional ethics and engineering standards, and an understanding of responsibility for the results of engineering activities.
